BRIEF HISTORY OF BIGGLESWADE ISLAMIC CULTURAL CENTRE
We are charity organisation. BICC was founded in 2016
The Muslims in Biggleswade realised that they had to get together; especially on Friday Prayer; Eid and other religious functions. In order to meet this requirement, we prayer at the basement Viceroy Indian restaurant on 51 Sun St, Biggleswade owned by brothers Rauf and Boshor Mohamed. Thereafter the Friday prayers was move to a family garden marque of brother Tarik on London road . As the population grew, we move to Weatherley centre. This remained a focal point for the Muslims in Biggleswade for years.
The Mosque Project:
Biggleswade is growing city in Central Bedfordshire County. We are proud to say that Biggleswade is London Commuter city. There are hundreds of Muslims living or working in Biggleswade and its surroundings. They have come from all continents majority of them from subcontinent.
Many Muslims who are trading, working in offices come the Weatherley Centre for Friday Prayer. We intend a buy a property to become a Mosque. With grace of Allah SWT we aim to achieve this project.
